Really? Couple Complain After Getting Free Stuff From Amazon!

You would think that most people would be happy with getting stuff for free in the post – but one Massachusetts couple havecomplained to Amazon after around 25 unsolicited parcels were delivered to their home.

Mike and Kelly Gallivan of Acton have been sent a series of small, inexpensive items including phone chargers, plastic fans, phone cases, an outdoor TV cover, and a humidifier gadget for water bottles.

The packages seem to have been sent as part of a scam that sees companies sending out goods in order to get ‘verified’ reviews on Amazon. These reviews are valuable as they lead to higher rankings for the sellers.

An Amazon employee explained:

“We are investigating inquiries from consumers who have received unsolicited packages as this would violate our policies. We remove sellers in violation of our policies, withhold payments, and work with law enforcement to take appropriate action.”

While the Gallivans say they will donate the unwanted items, we had to wonder, would you complain at getting free stuff sent out in the post?

Even if you didn’t want the stuff yourself, someone you know might be able to use it – or you could donate the items to charity and do some good…

Just a thought!
